A broad spreading, densely twiggy perennial shrub. 

Not self-pollinating; two or more shrubs are needed within 100 feet of each other to make fruit.  When they do make fruit, they make a lot!
Produces tart and tangy scarlet-colored cherries that can be eaten fresh or used in pies, jams and jellies.
