Easy-to-grow heavy producer of 3/4 inch dark blue fruits. Fewer thorns than most
gooseberry varieties. Self-pollinating. Rust and mildew resistant.
Prefers partial to full sun and rich soil in a well-drained location. 5 ft wide and 3 ft tall.
Deer resistant; the leaves contain hydrogen cyanide and should not be fed to animals.
