This Colorado native is kept mainly as an ornamental for golden yellow flowers which exude a pronounced vanilla and clove fragrance that attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.
Up to 6 feet tall and wide. Prefers partial to full sun. Moist soil helps it become established in the first year , drought resistant after becoming established
